Edition 11

The Australian Casa – Newsletter – edition 11

Ola e bem vindo (hello & welcome) to the Australia Casa newsletter.

Oftentimes, when I sit in front of my computer in order to compile and create the next Casa newsletter, I think to myself, “Oooh! I hope I’ve got enough material for it!”  But, as usual, here I am writing once again and it seems that this issue is burgeoning with interesting articles and information.  It reminds me of the image of a sail boat with its sails filled to bursting with wind, and propelling the boat forward.  I’m sure there’s a metaphor in there somewhere.  :o)

We have an engaging piece by Penelope Marshall about her “First timer’s visit” to the Casa in Abadiânia.  What is especially interesting is the message she gives us from Entity at the end, “Smile more, laugh more, dance more, sing more, love more…”.  For the fullness of her story and the message, go to the Feature section.

Great news! We’re planning a ‘Celebration’ of the new Casa site.  A chance for you to participate, meet others, plant something you would like to see growing there and of course, have some afternoon tea.  See Diary Notes for more information.

More exciting news in Diary Notes re the New Zealand Casa and a pilgrimage through sites which were significant for some of the Entities who work at the Casa, when they were incarnate: Montserrat, Assisi, Jerusalem and Goa.

Another Perspective brings us a view from the afterlife from Barry Eaton’s    new book “Afterlife-Uncovering the Secrets of Life After Death”.  Barry gained many insights when he visited the Casa Dom Inácio . Medium Joao who was in entity with one of the spirit doctors offered Barry two very special Brazilian crystals which had an amazing impact on his spiritual growth. He used them extensively in contacting the spirit world for information and contacts for his book.

Also, due to popular demand, Earthly Pleasures brings you something to get your teeth into, a delicacy named Persian Delight.  Someone very close to me had a piece and described it as ‘drop-dead gorgeous’.

In The bit in between … if you’ve ever wondered about the triangle you see on the wall at the Casa (either here in Australia or in Brazil), we have a piece explaining the Significance of the Triangle.  Here we get a deeper understanding of the triangle and its spiritual meaning throughout history.

If you are not yet aware of session day changes, see below in Current Sessions @ the Australian Casa for dates and times.  Also our website is now in action – go to www.theaustraliancasa.com.

And lastly, a very happy birthday to Kristin… some think it’s a milestone and

others don’t.  Guess it depends on your perspective!  Here’s wishing you a wonder-filled year.

May this year bring you all that matters…
Enjoy – until next time

Annette

PS  If you think someone you know might enjoy reading our newsletter, please pass it on.

PILGRIMAGE TO SITES CONNECTED TO THE ENTITIES – JULY/AUGUST 2011

In November 2010 the Entity gave his blessing and permission for me to take a group on a pilgrimage through some of the sites that were significant for some of the Entities who work at the Casa when they were incarnate: Montserrat, Assisi, Jerusalem and Goa.  This tour will take place following our June 26 – July 18 tour to the Casa de Dom Inácio in Abadiânia.

It is open to anyone who has been to the Casa de Dom Inácio.  I envisage spending time at each of these sites just “absorbing” rather than doing a lot of sightseeing or having too rigid an agenda at each site. For those who wish, more structured sightseeing excursions can be arranged at each location.

For those coming, a moderate level of fitness and a sense of humour and adventure will be basic requirements along with sufficient flexiblity to go with the flow of whatever arises on such a pilgrimage.

The places we visit:

Montserrat, Spain: Where St Ignatius, Dom Inácio, surrendered himself to the Black Madonna aka Our Lady of Montserrat.

Assisi, Italy: The location in which St Francis built his church and worked on his life’s mission.

Jerusalem: The site of the Temple constructed by King Solomon and the centre of King David’s kingdom.

Goa, India: The last resting place for the human remains of St Francisco Xavier whose mortal remains are still there largely intact after almost 460 years.

It will be possible to join us en route for part of the tour although the ideal would be to come to the Casa de Dom Inácio first and leave as a group from there.

As the size of the group will be strictly limited, please register expressions of interest and for more details with me at p.waugh@xtra.co.nz asap.                 Tour website: www.johnofgod.co.nz

About the guide / tour initiator

Peter Waugh has been a guide to the Casa de Dom Inácio since 2001, taking between 3 and 5 groups there annually. He also facilitated 2 events for Medium João in New Zealand in 2006 and 2007. As a result of direction to him from the Entity, the Casa de José has also been established in NZ. For further details www.casadejose.org.nz.

Feature

“A first timer’s visit to Medium Joao”

by Penelope (Pen) Marshall

My first trip to Medium Joao was a powerful experience.  This place in Brazil is not a place to merely visit, it is a place you experience.  Here in Abadiânia, the abnormal becomes the normal and the Wow! factor increases daily.

My first trip was of one month duration, the first two weeks with an Australian group and then staying on myself. The second two weeks without the group meant I stayed in a Pousada with others from Italy, Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Latvia, Greece and the music of the accents and languages was wonderful.  Both fortnights gave different perspectives and interactions with others.

Our group visited Medium Joao’s Soup Kitchen in the city, which was an inspiring experience.  Meals are served 3 times a week and the place was spotless.  It was obvious that they cater to a large number of homeless people, but I was no way prepared for the volume -1500 meals a day!!

The money raised by Medium Joao is paying for about 12 boys to attend University.  The lady who runs this place has left me with an enormous impression of love in action.

The first day I went to the Casa, I went before the Entity and in addition to my questions about my health, I also asked and was given permission to visit the waterfall.  I particularly wanted to visit the waterfall on the occasion that would have been (now deceased) of my Mother’s birthday.  The Entity leaned forward, looked right into me and taking a flower from a container beside him, made a slight bow and presented me with a perfect white rose saying, “For your Mother”.

What did I love?

I loved that the public telephones are called “Oi”!

I loved the tree shaped like a kangaroo looking over the valley behind the Casa.

I loved the gum trees and the red soil.

I loved it that just near Nambour, Queensland is a valley that looks identical to the valley behind the Casa.

And I loved it that people go for one reason, but may discover why they were really meant to be there.

My best experience?  It was the “vibe”; the way you could see and be part of other people’s spiritual karmic and physical healing.

The message coming from the translators and from a Women’s Workshop was the same: Smile more, laugh more, dance more, sing more, love more, watch your words and speak and visualize the positive.  Honour the mother, the feminine in yourself women and men, honour the feminine around you.  In this way we honour Mother Earth and we need to do more of that.

May you sing your day with blessings,

Penelope

The bit in between …

The Significance of the Triangle

When you visit the Casa de Dom Inácio it becomes apparent that the symbol of the triangle is of significance; the sides of the triangle represent Faith, Love and Charity.

There are three wooden prayer triangles mounted on the Casa walls in Abadiânia, one in the assembly hall over the stage, and two more on exterior walls.  You may tuck written prayers or petitions for healing into the bottom of the assembly hall triangle, or you may leave them in the box at the Secretary’s window (they are collected twice daily and given to the Entity for his blessings).

Except during the program, you may place your forehead in the triangle on the stage for silent prayer / petitions / blessings.

The use of the equilateral triangle as a symbol of spirit contact has occurred throughout recorded history e.g. the medieval magicians used a ‘triangle of art’ into which they evoked a spirit.

Part of this use derives from the triangle being the first ‘shape’ (three sided object) after the primal point and the dividing line. Being the shape that first appeared it was associated with ‘spirit’ or source, just as the next shape (the square) was associated with earth and form.

Yet, its traditional use as a ‘spirit door’ between our world and the healing powers of the Casa most defines our use today. Mind you, not all who place their forehead on the midpoint of the triangle would be aware they are touching spirit with their chakras… But that’s half the fun eh?

Consider This

The Difference between Giving Up & Surrender

“…giving up makes you small.  It’s defeat, being vanquished, a victim, whereas surrender is an expansive state, something active and pulsing.  And you do it every moment.  You don’t just surrender once and that’s it… you open yourself to the unknown.  Surrender is an act of courage, opening yourself and calling: Whatever comes, I accept.”

Another Perspective …

“Afterlife–Uncovering the Secrets of Life After Death”

As part of his research into the afterlife, Barry Eaton gained many insights when he visited the Casa Dom Inácio with Kelly Dale and his group. Medium Joao who was in entity with one of the spirit doctors offered Barry two very special Brazilian crystals which had an amazing impact on his spiritual growth. He used them extensively in contacting the spirit world for information and contacts for his book, “Afterlife–Uncovering the Secrets of Life After Death” which was released in Australia in February this year.

Barry, a regular member of the Australian Casa, also tells of his experiences and revelations gained in Brazil. He also documents channeling sessions in Australia with Kelly, whose father John Dingwall, communicated some fascinating accounts of his journey through the afterlife.

Barry’s website www.afterlifebarryeaton.com provides more details of a fascinating glimpse into the world of spirit.

Perhaps you are not aware there is a lending library at the Australian Casa, Eagles Nest, with a wide range of spiritual and esoteric titles.  Even more books have been donated to our library recently, and a wonderful person is currently in the slow process of cataloguing them!

If you want to borrow a book there is a small notebook there for you to enter your details and it operates on an honour system; borrowing is for a 3-week period.

Crystal Healing Beds

The crystal beds can certainly help us realise our part in the healing/learning process. Sessions are also fabulous for our general wellbeing in keeping our energy chakras balanced. It is complimentary to any traditional and alternative medicine.  You cannot describe what you should feel as each experience will be different but be assured you will receive what you need at each session.

Each bed has 7 quartz crystals suspended above the bed which align with and correspond to, the 7 chakras of the human body. A session consists of lying on the bed for approximately 20 minutes whilst listening to soothing music. The crystals radiate colour to the respective chakras to cleanse them and to balance their energies.

Uniting the energy of the spirits who designed the healing modality, we would like to keep our registry of Crystal Light Beds updated.  If you want to be included on our list of Crystal Light Beds available for public use within Australia and New Zealand – please email: info@theaustraliancasa.com

And, of course, if you go to www.theaustraliancasa.com we have the updated Australian Crystal Light Bed list for you to find the one nearest you.
