Here we are with our newsletter edition number 2 filled with plenty of interest and diversity, and let it be a fitting closure for the year of 2008 which has been both challenging and growth inducing.

Many of my friends have spoken of major changes in their lives; letting go of old ideas and belief patterns which no longer serve us, changing our approach to life and living, adopting a greater feeling of self responsibility and importantly, looking at the world with hope in our hearts.  (I guess that implies we don’t take for granted or believe the media communications which intentionally influence us to believe quite the opposite).   Again, the emphasis is on trust, faith and love… then again, when isn’t it?

So, on with the BIG news …

 

Medium Joao is coming to Australia 

It has been confirmed that Joao will travel ‘down under’ for a 4 day event at the end of May 2009 (28TH – 31ST).  We thank the committee of wonderful people who have been working for almost two years to bring this to fruition; it will be a magical time for all Australians to be blessed with the energy of the powerful Entities who incorporate through Medium Joao.

Let us all keep the energy united, pure and with the intention of keeping our hearts open so that the Entities work can be spread around the South Pacific regions – spreading peace, healing and learning.

The Australian Casa Inc. is very fortunate (and grateful) to be one of three beneficiaries of the profits made at the 2009 John of God event.

Our piece What is Charity? will certainly promote some contemplation.  What are your ideas of what it means to BE charitable?  It has expanded my understanding & awareness of this humble English word.

For your entertainment, we strongly recommend this movie, catch it if you can – “Whaledreamers”.  It is a touching, powerfully simple tale with an inspiring message of reconnection with mother earth (Gaia) and uniting as one people around the globe.  Besides, it’s visually beautiful!

It is no coincidence that The Australian Casa is located in the Byron Shire – land traditionally used as a meeting or gathering place by many tribes from all around the area.

FEATURE ARTICLE:

What is Current? – Part 1

‘Current’ is the term used to describe what it is that we experience in a Casa session. This experience however isn’t uniform across all the people present or even for us across a number of sessions – current is always unique.

Secondly, ‘current’ just doesn’t happen anywhere. It doesn’t seem to happen at our local supermarket, nor has it been reported at football matches even though lots of people are gathered and usually share a common purpose.

That it does occur at Casa (where we have presented ourselves for the purpose of being in it) leads to the idea that we have to be ready and willing for current to work through us before it does so.

I found it really interesting that in current sessions we are reminded to allow it to flow onwards and outwards to others in need. Even though current appears on one hand to be miraculous in its healing power, it still isn’t all powerful. It operates through us to the limits we set, consciously or unconsciously.

Of course this too raises more questions especially about the nature of humankind in as much as we have the power allow or deny current. In basic terms “we are spirit having a physical experience” so our natural spirit nature is at one with current.

Our sense based physical reality however, isn’t aware of spirit. This sets up our choice – do I surrender to my spirit self or do I focus on my isolated physical existence. The first lets the flow through, the second doesn’t.

Finally there are those Spirit entities that work through current. Since we are in part physical (and they aren’t) then we become the conduit for their power into our plane of existence. In some exceptional circumstances we can embody their consciousness too, and are therefore a medium such as Joao.

When in these circumstances the consciousness of the entity is combined with the power of Current then truly miraculous things can be accomplished.

THE MEANING OF CHARITY?

 

Whilst filing through copious amounts of paperwork to register The Australian Casa Inc. as a tax deductible recipient, it made us review the meaning of charity.  And below are some interpretations for your consideration.

Love, universal benevolence, good will

Voluntary provision given to help people in need

The meaning of charity is charity

Acts of kindness, generosity

Liberality in judging of mankind and their actions

Genuine act of giving

Doing something from the goodness of one’s heart with no intention of receiving personal gain

An activity or gift that benefits the public at large

Impartial love of other people

Charity: one believes in the intrinsic value of all one’s fellows, and bases one’s life and behaviour on that belief

Love directed towards God, oneself and one’s neighbours

Abraham Lincoln said: With malice towards none, with charity to all

Philanthropy

Universal love of our fellows

 

The John of God tour to Australia in May 2009 demonstrates true charity. Again, we would like to thank all the people who have made it happen simply for the benefit of the public.

Current from 10am followed by a feast at 12noon.

JOURNEYS TO BRAZIL – LATE FEBRUARY 2009

Even though Medium Joao is travelling to Australia in May next year – a journey to his spiritual hospital in Brazil can not be underestimated.  The abundance of healing energy available and direct contact with spirit is very powerful. They are always multi-dimensional journey’s.

Kelly is joining with Barry Eaton (Broadcaster of Radio Out There) in taking a tour to Brazil late Feb for 3 weeks (21st Feb – 14th March) including a 2 night stay in Buenos Aires.

Kelly’S RECENT JOURNEY TO abadiania, BRAZIL

 

We realise we are slow on the uptake sometimes… but the same messages keep getting repeated – the more we learn, the more we realise we have to learn; the more we keep our egos out of the picture when connecting with spirit, the purer the connection and possibility of manifestations.

Keep things simple: love, hope, charity & compassion.  Thus the name given by spirit of Casa de fe e amor – House of Faith and Love.

On the last day of Kelly’s visit to Abadiania, he and Wayne (Kelly’s mate & travelling companion) were summoned to the Entities along with 2 volunteers and a Doctor (the Entities know!).  They were then asked to witness 3 physical operations.  The energy was so powerful and the compassion in Dr. Augusto’s (Entity incorporated at the time) eyes so intense that all present became overwhelmed with floods of emotions.

First, a woman’s stomach was cut open and the Entity placed his hand inside; whilst signing triangles and prescribing herbs! Next a man’s frame was taken away and he briskly walked away and did not look back.   Finally, a mute lady was told to blow air from her mouth, more and more until finally sound emanated the room and she broke into an operatic version of Ave Maria.  I do not think there was a dry eye in the house (even all those closed in current could feel the waves of energy).  Of course, just another day in Abadiania!

Regarding our own healing journey, I was inspired by Peter Waugh’s (NZ Casa custodian) words in his last newsletter (not quoted exactly):

“It is a fine line between forcing issues, trusting in ‘natural universal timing’ and being complacent”.

This relates not only to the building of the NZ and Australian Casas but to our own healing journey.  Again much trust and faith are required backed by unconditional love.

So – the Mother Crystal – which we are told will act as a radio beacon for the benefit of all Australians – is finally about to be loaded onto a ship in the port of Rio de Janeiro.  With any luck it should reach Australian soil in a couple of months.  Trust and patience!

Healing Journeys

Healing encompasses many perspectives and can happen in many ways – it’s very much about the individual soul’s journey and healing path.

Current Sessions @ the Australian Casa     

Just as in Brazil, the Australian Casa has a dedicated current room space so that the energy available through our connection with spirit is kept PURE.  Pure love, pure connection, pure learning, pure spiritual healing.

Sessions are on Wednesdays – there are two Current sessions available.  The times are 10am with blessed soup being offered afterwards.  The second session is at 1pm and of course you are welcome to stay for both.
