We have some fascinating pieces for you in this edition, some to expand, some to enlighten, some to demonstrate possibility but mostly to make you smile. And really, the energy of growth is in laughter and joy, don’t you think?
Since our last issue some members have made the journey to Abadiania and when they returned we received a recharge of the Brazillian perspective just as we hope the Australian visitors share our uniqueness over there. In this newsletter we share with you some of their experiences.
See below in Healing Journeys for a story from Howard Toose … who had an excruciatingly painful condition, the result of a spinal injury causing him to be virtually bedridden. Howard tells us that despite this he made the difficult journey to the Casa in Brazil and as a result of the ‘amazing things’ that happened to him during his invisible surgery… he now leads a life of physical activity and free movement.
Another Perspective comes from our Brazillian foreign correspondent, Wayne Conforti who is spending extended time in Abadiania. Wayne gives us an inside view of the experience of being at the Casa and he does it in such a naturally humorous way that you feel you are right there with him. So, if you haven’t yet been over to the Casa in Brazil you will certainly get a feel for it from Wayne’s reporting.
Our Feature Article for this edition ‘Digging to Australia’ is written by Sarah Jane Kingston from Ireland who, whilst visiting Abadiania, received a direction from entity to come to the Australian Casa. In her entertaining story she tells us just how she got here and says ‘although it might take a long time to dig to Australia, once you are sitting in the current, it feels just like home’.
We have included a new section in this edition called Talking Heads providing basic phrases in Portuguese for getting around in the Casa and Abadiania. It appears directly after Diary Notes about the forthcoming guided tours to Brazil. Each edition will include more simple language terms, so collect it for your trip! Have fun getting your tongue around these.
As always, we are continuing to have much fun at the OZ Casa – learning and laughing on our never ending journeys.

Digging to Australia

In Ireland, when we went to the beach as children, we would dig and dig in the hopes of getting to Australia. Usually rain put an end to our activity and then as we grew up, we realised it wasn’t going to be possible to reach the other side of the world on our own steam! If it had not been for the Entities of the Casa, I probably wouldn’t have got here by plane either as it always seemed such a long way away…indeed, I don’t think I would ever have gone to Brazil, even though that is a little closer to home, but as many of us know, once the call comes from the Casa, something else takes over and our lives are changed forever.
I first went to the Casa in 2006, nearly three years ago. That first trip was for two weeks; I then returned in October 2006 and stayed for eight months. At the end of that time, I received very clear guidance in the current that I should go to Sedona, Arizona, a place known for its vortexes and healing energies. So, after three months in Ireland, working hard to get the money together, I went to Sedona in September 2007 and stayed until the beginning of December. Another short, hardworking trip to Ireland and then back to Brazil for six weeks….home for six weeks and back to Brazil for three months.
I didn’t actually have enough money to see me through that three months and early on in April, when I was sitting out on the veranda in the Casa gardens, I got a clear message that I was to book for the John of God event in New York which I did. Shortly afterwards, I had the great good fortune to get a job as a night security person in one of the pousadas. No payment but free room and food which reduced my expenses right down.
During that trip, I met Deborah Dickson, from Australia, who stayed in the pousada at the same time as two friends of mine from Ireland; Tom Griffin, who had been my original teacher of Bio-energy therapy, and Tom Stenson, another Bio-energy therapist. Deborah, who suddenly found herself drinking copious amounts of Barry’s Irish tea, was made an honorary Irishwoman by us all at the end. Tom Griffin started planning that we would all visit her in Australia but I told Deborah that she could certainly count me out on that score…happy as I would be to see her if she came to Ireland, I had no intention whatsoever of going to Australia.
A couple of weeks later I was down in the Internet café in Abadiania. While waiting to pay, my gaze wandered idly up to the map of the world which hung on the wall. Suddenly, without any warning, Australia started to jump out from the map. “No, I thought, “I am not seeing that…I am not going to Australia.” I managed to put it successfully out of my mind. At this point I was getting weary of travelling and having no base; every time I went back to Ireland kind friends had offered me house-sits, but now I just wanted to settle down in my own space for a while.. a home seemed like a wonderful idea, travelling to Australia did not.
The time came for me to leave Brazil and return to Ireland. On my last day, I went up the line with some photographs and to say thank you for all that I had received. The Entity wrote the prescriptions and looked up at me but before I had time to speak he told me to go and sit in the current. I went and found a place, sat down and within moments of stilling my mind I heard very clearly: “Go to Australia. The Australian Casa.”
I have to admit my heart sank. And over the months that followed I found it hard to be enthusiastic. I went to the Omega event which was wonderful, and then back to Ireland to work and earn the fare and my living expenses for Australia. One of my uncles died and another had a severe stroke, then my sister announced her wedding plans for May so it was a bad time to be leaving on the family front…I had had a bad flu and could not shake off the cough and the thought of the long flight was daunting. But again and again I got the message: Go to Australia. So finally I booked my flight and two weeks later I was on the plane.
A few days later Kristin kindly brought me up to Eagle’s Nest for a cup of tea and a visit to the current room. As soon as I stepped inside, I could feel the presence of the Entities, just like in Abadiania. Now, I am so grateful for all the learning and work that I know they have done on me since my arrival. And I know too, that although it might take a long time to dig to Australia, once you are sitting in the current, it feels just like home.

Healing Journeys
“In the mid 1990′s I received a severe downward blow to the top of my head causing spinal damage in the neck region. Aggravation of this injury caused an abnormal growth in the nervous system canal, causing pain signals to be sent out all the time.
Spinal damage is painful but the nervous system pain is so extremely high that at the end of the first twelve month period, my pain management specialist told my wife she was lucky to still have me. The reason being that only 2% survive the first year at that level of pain, as they get rid of it any way they can.
By 2005 I was virtually bed ridden as any time spent upright magnified the pain level hugely. I was on very hard drugs and the future did not look very promising. My wife and sister-in-law were making plans to go to Brasil to see if I could be helped at all by seeing John of God, when I said, “I must go too”.
It was an horrific journey and by the time we got to Brasilia, I was critically ill. We stayed overnight in a hotel and in the morning Margaret called for an English speaking doctor, who in turn called for the paramedics and ambulance. There was much concern and I passed over for a time on the way to the intensive care unit. The doctor told my wife that there was not much chance I would make it, but survive I did.
When I got to see John of God amazing things happened to me and during the invisible surgery I had the sensation of work being carried out on the site of my injury. By the time we left that first time, I was much improved and even while I am back home I know I continue to be worked on.
There is so much more to this story but this space does not permit it all to be conveyed. I say to you, even if you do not think you need help with any problems, if you have the chance to go to Brasil to see John of God, please go as you will come away with something very special.
I am so grateful and would like to give thanks to God, the Entities of the Casa de Dom Inacio and John of God.”

Another Perspective

Well, where to start, hmm…….arrived in downtown Abadiania with the Australian Casa’s fearless Presidente (Kelly ) on February 21st and it seems so long ago …that I will probably get some of the sequence of events slightly confused however, stick with me and we will endeavour to become confused together. That way, no one will know!
Kelly and I stayed at Pousada Rei Davi (pronounced Hey Davi…), which has now become like a second home to me. We are especially blessed to have come to know the owner, Heather Cumming who is an amazing woman. Heather is the author of ‘John of God: The Brazilian Healer Who Has Touched The Lives Of Millions’ – definitely a must read and keep as a reference. Heather is a translator at the Casa and speaks many languages (even strine!), and is a trusted and close friend and confidant of Medium Joao, his wife Anna, and their family.
Upon settling into our pousada, we began the difficult task of unwinding and preparing for a busy Casa week ahead. Casa days are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with the morning current beginning at 7:30am sometimes going to 11 or 11:30 am, and afternoons commencing at 1:30 pm usually finishing around 4:30 or 5:00.
So to prepare we had three meals everyday, afternoon massages with the lovely Tania (spiritual of course!), visits to the sacred waterfall, and of course as many crystal baths/beds as humanly possible. As you can tell, a rigorous training regime, not for the faint-hearted however, onward we marched, all for a good cause………US!!
During that first week we both received spiritual interventions, and we took it in turns to tend to each others needs, ie. blessed soup, meals, cups of tea, and back rubs, (ok ,now I’m exaggerating a little )…. and of course this comes with 24hrs isolation.
This beautiful little enclave in the centre of Brazil is a constant source of spiritual inspiration to all, and I could not imagine now how life would be without this connection.
I will try to update whenever possible, and send you snippets of the incredible work that goes on here daily, miraculous healing stories from nearly everyone you meet, this place truly is a vortex for the loving and compassionate entities of light to help humankind at this time.
Everyday I thank them for their work and Medium Joao for his humility, love, and dedication to his life’s mission, and I also thank God for the Australian Casa, and the wonderful hard work that Kristin and Kelly Dale do so lovingly for all who attend.

Current Sessions @ the Australian Casa
Just as in Brazil, the Australian Casa has a dedicated current room space so that the energy available through our connection with spirit is kept PURE. Pure love, pure connection, pure learning, pure spiritual healing.
Sessions are on Wednesdays – there are two Current sessions available. The times are 10am with blessed soup being offered afterwards. The second session is at 1pm and of course you are welcome to stay for both.
