Ola e bem vindo (hello & welcome) to the Australia Casa
bi-monthly newsletter.
What is interesting in this edition is the theme which has emerged from the personal experiences of the contributors. And this theme is the role of Self or Personal Responsibility in our healing – doing all the extras required in an holistic manner as recommended by the Entities, in our Feature Article. Really, the Entities facilitate the healing but the real work is up to us!
As we read of these people’s experiences with Medium Joao, let us remember that we will each have our own particular understanding and interpretation. Our individuality and our beliefs impact directly on our outcome. And, what is important to remember here is that we are all sparks of the divine, all equal and have the ability to receive any knowledge or guidance we need, in any moment.
Our Feature Article entitled ‘Medicos’ is written by Kristin Dale and provides for us a broadened perspective of the spirit doctors who work through Medium Joao. In a way, she conveys the spirit magic which happens between you and Entity.
And, Richard Bradshaw in Healing Journeys relates his experience of a ‘physical’ operation by Entity… and does it in such a ‘now’ way that you can feel his emotional experience and almost feel the process of his operation. It’s an absorbing story so allow yourself to be carried along in its spell.
Another Perspective is given to us from Maria Jamieson, an artist who lives in Canberra, and she calls her story ‘Feeling the Pull of Abadiania’. In it, she tells how she felt a distinctive pull – signs she could not ignore – to go to the Casa several times and expresses just how these journeys have changed the expression of her artwork, created greater emotional stability and formed a strengthened sense
of self. Oh! I almost forgot, she laughs a lot now – isn’t it the best medicine!
We say farewell to Sara Jane Kingston who after digging her way to Australia (see her article edition 5) has now dug all the way through and is headed back to Ireland. J She has touched us all with her delightful presence and we wish her well on her journey.

MEDICOS

The word ‘medicos’ means doctors in Portuguese. However, it is pronounced MEJ – I – KOS – sounding more like magic than medico…
Why am I loving this translation? You could say the spirit doctors work magic on us. But the magic lies in the possibilities at hand. In fact the Entities (spirit) give us a clear message of how we can help ourselves in our healing process (of the mind, spirit and filtering to the physical). By taking into account self-responsibility and appreciation of mother earth and nature, surrounding ourselves in positive energy places/people, taking care of our diet and the nutrition we need, being mindful of how we use our thoughts and tongues against others and ourselves, getting enough rest and sleep. Especially not giving any time or attention to negative ideas and thoughts; do not concentrate on what you don’t want but rather only on what it is you do want.
Of course this is nothing new – but always good to be reminded – especially of the self-responsibility part.
The spirit doctors who work through Medium Joao highly respect the medicine of ‘our’ world here on Mother Earth. Remembering that as a human we have choice and within the healing journey we are blessed with multiple options when it comes to medicine (within the realms of traditional and alternative).
The spirit doctors love to work in conjunction with your choices – keeping in mind the beautiful quote from spirit in the book Nosso Lar: All honest medicine is a service of love, a rightly helpful activity, but the actual work of healing is up to each spirit individually.
This last trip to Brazil was of course accompanied by many a laugh, many tears and much joy and unconditional love that I feel my human body will vibrate forever! A Brazilian doctor from Sao Paulo was asked by the Entities to speak to everyone at the end of current. He addressed us in a calm, humble voice that trembled slightly with immense gratitude as he told us of his own healing (in collaboration with medical doctors), out of a wheelchair and returning to perform surgeries as a doctor with the ‘vigor of a young man’.
Many doctors are drawn to and intrigued by the Casa de Dom Inacio in Brazil. And many are energized by the amazing possibilities of the collaborative effect of both medicine of ‘our’ world and help by spirit doctors. My own family has had an experience of this collaborative effect. Our youngest son had major ear surgery last Christmas Eve. Dr Augusto (one of the head honcho doctors who incorporates in Medium Joao) verbally told my husband that our son was to have the ‘traditional surgery’ and that he himself would be with the surgeon to guide his hands. On Xmas Eve, we had many wonderful friends who ‘held current’ during the procedure. Whilst comforting our boy in the recovery room post op, a nurse who was present (and knows nothing of our beliefs) told me how well the operation went and “as they were reconstructing his ear, it was like watching the hands of God at work”. She even went as far as to say to the surgeon, “Do you ever feel like you hold the power of God in your hands?” to which she said that everyone present in the operation room looked up and paused in silence.
So the moral is: How wonderful it is that we have choices and that if we ask spirit for help with the choices everything can become so much easier! As my kids say, “Infinity, googleplex possibilities”.
Healing Journeys
“I entered the Casa through the back door and as I walked on the tiled floors through the passageway, I could hear someone speaking in Portuguese, the microphone amplified the hum. Entering the main hall, I turned right and saw all of the seats were taken, many people were standing about around the side walls.
I was the last person in line and walked confidently and peacefully through the doorway. I was inside the first current room and there were many seats occupied with meditators from all over the world, who have come for personal healing and some simply to experience this surreal, wonderful healing energy. Casa music sang and seemed to bounce off the walls raising the energy even higher. The line moved into the main Current room where Medium Joao works in entity.
I followed the line as it disappeared into the surgery room where I knew from previous experience that people were offered the choice of physical or spiritual operations. Before I reached that doorway, my friend Arturo, one of the staff stopped me. Yesterday when I had gone before the entity I had been told that I needed an operation and was asked right then if I wanted physical, “maybe,” I said, “well, do you want physical or not?” came Arturo’s reply, I was on the spot now and in a flash I agreed to a physical, and tomorrow had arrived! My three questions that I had brought before the entity were: Is it possible to help with improved eyesight? Improved hearing? Taste and smell?
Now the hour had arrived and it had arrived peaceably without any trace of fear. Arturo led me a few meters back into the main current room where I stood now facing Medium Joao’s empty chair. Another of the Casa’s Mediums came over and asked me if I had any heart problems or high blood pressure, to which I answered “no.” He asked me to close my eyes and place my hand over the problem area. He gently asked me to place my hands over the ‘areas’ that I wanted healing to take place and then he left.
I stood there with closed eyes, holding my left hand facing my left ear, my right hand at ninety degrees facing my eyes, with my right elbow sticking out to the side. My right arm began to ache, so I lowered my head, which allowed my right arm to tuck down against my body and rest.
I felt a slight breeze on my left arm and suddenly my right arm began to move by itself! My arm moved side to side, my hand sweeping over my forehead, my eye area, faster and faster! So fast now that my head was shaking wildly. Faster and faster with perfect massage pressure; my arm slowed and my hand moved gently into the eye sockets, up and around, back and forth. It finally stopped. I have no idea of time during this process.
Medium Joao was at my side now. He took my arm and I heard him ask me to open my eyes… Medium Joao does not speak English! We walked back between the rows of meditators and out into the main area from which I had initially queued. Out now onto the small tiled stage where a wheelchair was brought out for me. I sat down facing a full auditorium of faces. The overall energy was absolutely beautiful, peaceful and loving.
Medium Joao was standing slightly behind and to the left side of me, he had a microphone in his left hand and was speaking in Portuguese saying something like: “I do not heal, God heals, I am only the instrument.”
Suddenly, the wheel chair I was sitting on was pulled backwards and I heard Joao make a loud breathing noise as he incorporated. The next thing he gently and lovingly pulled my head back, opened wide my right eye and started to scrape his knife blade over the eye ball; he did this three times and then moved on to the left eye. Now last year when I experienced my first eye scrape, I felt nervously protective of my left eye, as this is the eye that sees, my right eye is legally blind. He is not actually performing the surgery himself, a spirit doctor is actually doing the job by physically guiding medium Joao’s hand; just as earlier Spirit had moved my right arm and hand to massage and warm up my face, preparing me for my operation.
It was all over in a flash and I was whisked away to the recovery room where, once again the energy and care was total love. A wonderfully magical experience.
I so thank the entities for all of the work, all of the love and all of the care that they have given to me and are still giving to me now, thank you. The eye operation has improved my sight and my right eye is re-aligning over time, I think though that the greatest gift the eye operation has given me is to be able to ‘see’ Spirit, at least whilst I was in Abadiania.”

Feeling the Pull of Abadiania

I have been three times to Abadiania, Brazil. The first time I heard about it, I was at a weekend workshop at which time I met a guide, a woman who takes people over to the Casa.
After my first session on her crystal bed, which was a time of grace with emotionless tears streaming down, I sat for a while and watched the Casa video. Suddenly I said to her ”I’m going”. Literally, within a minute, there was a prick in the crook of my left arm and the sensation of blood being drawn. Somehow I just knew and a red spot and little red line could be seen; the sensation was tickling not painful. I held out my arm and we watched. ‘They’ve begun to work on you already’, she said as casually as though we were discussing cooking recipes. For the next six weeks, until our group headed for Brazil, I was in a state of bliss and clearly being worked on.
While I was in Abadiania for the two week stay, the entities came at night and worked through my left wrist. It was as though they were gently tickling me. I followed all the rules carefully, so as not to disturb this miracle. All my surgeries were invisible ones, though I did see some physical ones which were done to convince those who needed proof. Sometimes sitting in current, there were people who suddenly had bloodstains on their clothes though they had felt nothing. Well fed, housed, nurtured and safe, we swam in the miraculous as though this was the normal way to live. Joao (John of God) said that I would return. I was later to discover that if a series of operations were required to take place there, and not at home, the timing is not ours to decide.
I’m a painter. Upon my return, people commented that my painting had changed and one of the paintings actually got me out of bed at 4am to finish it in an unexpected way …that painting later found its way onto the cover of the book ‘Note for Note’ by Marcus Cornelius and people said they had sensations when they looked at it. I had changed too, although I’m in my 60s, it was as though I’d finally grown up. I also laugh so much more since that first time as though mirth is welling up inside. I’m also more emotionally secure. It is nurturing and affirming to have proof that good souls on the other side are looking after me.
Seven months later, the bliss had worn off a bit and I was convinced I could not afford this again. Things started to happen to my ankles and I was in pain. It felt as though they were collapsing yet it made no sense. It took me a while to understand that the purpose of all this was to pull me back to complete the work. By this time I needed crutches. I got the message one night though, woken out of sleep – the penny dropped. There and then, I made my intention to go back and went back to sleep. As soon as it was 9am I phoned a travel agent and I took my courage and travelled alone this time.
Airlines were requested to arrange wheelchairs, but by the time I took off two weeks later, I was walking well and didn’t need them. Though it was an arduous journey, with a series of mishaps and the strangest phenomena occurring, (two planes grounded, a hotel burnt and passengers running out wrapped in blankets as we were forced to overnight without our luggage, a strange bus ride in the wee small hours in Chile with the driver lost was just part of it. ) Like a John Cleese movie full of miracles and laughter. Each unknown to the other, there were 3 passengers on this route headed for Abadiania and how we laughed about that journey later.
To say that I am humbled and grateful that I have found this healing is an understatement!

Just as in Brazil, the Australian Casa has a dedicated current room space so that the energy available through our connection with spirit is kept PURE. Pure love, pure connection, pure learning, pure spiritual healing.
Sessions are on Wednesdays – there are two Current sessions available. The times are 10am (arrive 9.45am) with blessed soup being offered afterwards. The second session is at 1pm (arrive 12.45pm) and of course you are welcome to stay for both.
