Edition 7
The Australian Casa – Newsletter – edition 7
Ola e bem vindo (hello & welcome) to the Australia Casa
bi-monthly newsletter.
Hello again, it seems ages since we communicated. We are currently immersed in the season of spring which I’m sure you’ve noticed. What does it represent? What does it mean to you? Shedding the old and welcoming the new, expanding your understanding about this or that, and moving forward with this new awareness knowing that in subtle ways, you have changed.
In fact, haven’t you noticed that change seems more accelerated in these times? Already we’ve had bush fires and dust storms and summer is still to come, and we have the road up the mountain to the Casa now much safer to drive because of the new overtaking spaces. As our region of the world seems to be subject to great shifts in nature, so the links we make through spirit, via the Casa, provide a stabilising influence.
This edition brings you a most interesting feature article from our international roving reporter, Wayne Conforti at present in Abadiania, entitled ‘Redefining Spirit & the Beyond: ORBS’. Wayne explains the phenomena of Orbs and the discovery of these strange lights appearing in some of our photographs. What does it all mean and where do these lights come from? Indeed, his information forces questions regarding our idea of spirit and the world beyond the physical. Read on, it’s fascinating stuff. (Follow up Orb photos can be viewed at www.theaustraliancasa.com)
And further on in Another Perspective, an article ‘Taking the Plunge…’ which provides an interesting metaphor on living this life. It’s a personal perspective about the courage needed to jump into the adventure known as life.
Also some fun with learning more Portuguese for your travels to Abadiania (if you’re lucky enough to go) and believe it or not, a rib-tickling story in Healing Journeys.
Finally, there’s a wonderful short piece ‘The Walk-In’ for you to consider, contemplate and crystallize! Just shelve any ideas you may have about the term ‘walk-in’; this piece will only expand your perception. And that’s good, isn’t it?
Enjoy – until next time,
Annette

Redefining Spirit & the Beyond: ORBS
by Wayne Conforti
What is an Orb? The noun Orb refers to a sphere or spherical object like a celestial body such as the Sun, the Moon, the Earth or other heavenly bodies. It also describes one or a series of concentric spheres thought by ancient and medieval astronomers to revolve around the earth and carry celestial bodies; you could also describe an orb as an eye or eyeball and also a range or endeavour of activity (possibly electromagnetic activity?).
The term “Orb” generally describes unexpected, typically circular artifacts in photographs, sometimes leaving a trail indicating motion. The technical photographic term for the occurrence which is especially pronounced in modern ultra compact cameras is backscatter, orb backscatter or near camera reflection.
It would be unfair not to mention that while there is broad agreement that Orbs exist, many strongly feel that there is no connection to the paranormal and that those who believe there is, are dismissed as star gazing woo-woo’s.
It would also be fair to say that there appear to be three separate lines of thought on the subject:
1. Orbs are not paranormal and are due to a myriad of variables, as earlier suggested and others such as dust or rain particles, light refraction and so on. Skeptics frequently state that it is not proven and is therefore, no explanation.
2. Orbs are a convergence of energy and intelligence that exist with us at all times.
3. Some people aren’t too sure and are happy enough without worrying about such matters.
I, like many others, find myself in the second category. Whilst I welcome skepticism and scientific investigation, my personal experiences have forged my own opinions. Having taken photographs in dust and or rain and recorded no Orb activity, then at other times taken shots in dust and/or moisture free environments, and recording Orb activity, helped me to realize that there seems to be no hard and fast rules in capturing true or real activity of this phenomena. Sure, there is no shortage of photographs which show Orbs but as research will testify particles of dust, moisture, flash/no flash, etc. do have an effect.
Just as the energetic environment has relevance, so does your intention as you take the photos, the surroundings, any music or noise levels, can all play their part in determining whether you will be successful in capturing true images. This is an area for experimentation on a personal level and can be immensely satisfying.
The real message or growth is in the exploration of all the theories and information that is available to us, and learning yourself that there may be a lot more to existence than what we can see, smell, touch or for that matter explain in so called “logical terms”. So grab your camera and start enjoying and having fun with Orbs.
It is not important if you are an old “Orbgazer” from way back or new to the concept, it is happening for good reason, so stir up that inquisitive side of your brain and go for it. There is so much information in books, DVD’s and on the internet — so much, it will send you into Orbit..(sorry).
On the subject of doing your research, there are two well credentialed people at the forefront of Orbservation, as I call it. They are, Miceàl Ledwith, D.D.,LL.D. a professor of systematic theology and Klaus Heinemann, Ph.D. a materials science researcher for NASA. They have co-authored a book and produced a DVD which are highly recommended if you are serious in looking further into Orbs. The book is titled ‘The Orb Project’ and the DVD title is ‘ORBS The Veil Is Lifting’ – both are easily purchased online.
In conclusion, I would like to draw your attention to observations & guidelines given by both of the above-mentioned experts:
* Use of a flash is essential in photographing Orbs
* This may be because the means by which they are recorded, the CCD (charge-coupled device) of the camera is not through reflection or scattering but through fluorescence.
* Orbs are abundantly present and the frequency of their showing has increased significantly.
* The arguments of skeptics that Orb photographs must be due to experimental deficiencies cannot be upheld.
* There is no indication that Orbs are diffraction effects of physical objects.
* There is no evidence that Orbs are images of physical objects.
* There is no evidence that explains the energy of Orbs to be conventional electromagnetic waves or plasmas.
* Orbs are energetic phenomena.
* Orbs show up at random and different locations.
* There are a multitude of varieties of Orbs.
* Often, Orbs of predominantly one variety show in any one setting.
* Orbs show signs of intelligence.
* Orbs appear to want to communicate with us.
* We could not detect any adverse intent from Orbs towards us in fact, their way of exhibiting their presence hinted toward unconditional benevolence.
* The evidence from Orb fluorescence poses the question as to whether these frequency realms detected through that process may actually be realms just as solid within themselves as our reality is “solid” to us.
* If these hypotheses are true, many of the conventional understandings of matters such as spirit and the beyond will need redefinition.
From their Orbservations, Ledwith and Heinemann conclude Orbs are for real and are connected to realms outside of conventional human perception. They function outside of the standard laws of physics and yet communicate through the digital technology that is now so readily available to us.
Maybe we have just scratched the surface of what is to follow…
happy hunting, Wayne

Healing Journeys
Healing is very much about laughter, so here’s a little rib tickling for you courtesy of Injoy magazine – a wonderfully informative, entertaining and inspiring local magazine…
A six-year old boy told his father he wanted to marry the little girl across the street. The father being modern and well schooled in handling children, hid his smile behind his hand. ’That’s a serious step,’ he said. ’Have you thought it out completely?’
‘Yes,’ his young son answered. ’We can spend one week in my room and the next in hers. It’s right across the street, so I can run home if I get scared of the dark.’
‘How about transportation?’ the father asked.
“I have my wagon, and we both have our tricycles,’ the little boy answered. The boy had an answer to every question the father raised. Finally in exasperation, his dad asked, ‘What about babies? When you’re married, you’re liable to have babies, you know.’
‘We’ve thought about that, too,’ the little boy replied. ’We’re not going to have babies. Every time she lays an egg, I’m going to step on it!’

Take the Plunge… Into An Ocean of Games
by Annette Janover
Well, here’s the next instalment of the traveller’s guide to swimming in life.
Do you remember your first experience of learning to swim? I recall that I was 8 years old, away on summer holidays with the family at a country guest-house. An old-fashioned place belonging to the 1940′s era, where the shared bathroom was down the hall, a bible was squarely placed in the drawer of the bedside table, the intercom announced meal-times with a gong and the musical entertainment was a three-woman ensemble – the ladies were all in their 60′s (they seemed so old in my 8-year old mind) and they played saxophone, piano and drums.
Being one of the original ‘water babies’, I spent many hours in the ancient, concrete swimming pool. I was an expert at holding onto the sides of the pool, momentarily letting myself go, careful not to go further than arms-length and then dog paddling furiously to keep my head above water… and finally, grabbing for safety.
It was on such a magnificent summer’s day as I watched others swimming in freedom that I caught myself thinking, “But I can’t touch the bottom of the pool over there!” And in the next moment, I dared myself to let go and in the excitement of the challenge, I found myself swimming freely, my arms reaching towards the centre of the pool, my breath coming in nervous gasps. The words ‘I did it!’ chased each other around in mind as my heart soared.
As I see it, this experience is a metaphor for life as we move along the journey in the continuity of new experience – confronting our fears and transcending our limitations. Whether we are aware of it or not, the movement continues, the growth occurs. In some, there is the conscious urge towards transformation and we become the seeker and decide to release the familiarity of the known. A piece I discovered in a book on Tarot aptly describes, for me, these challenges of living: “…and the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
I remember a time not long ago, when a significant person in my life questioned me regarding my intention on my journey. ”What are you prepared to do?” And my immediate response was, “Whatever it takes!”
It is in this way that I have travelled along my path, holding on to the sides, calling for my courage, taken the perceived risk and leapt across the chasm into… adventure.
Consider This …segment from a book…
The Walk-In
by Juelle
Peace and Freedom. All we ever want is a deep peacefulness in our lives and freedom from all that appears to be keeping us from it. We imply lack when we say, “If only I had my right livelihood, my life’s purpose, my perfect soul mate, vibrant health,
more money, a BMW, the perfect body,” etc. What is perfect about our lives NOW?
Someone said, “Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of God,” There is freedom in forgiving our past, releasing our enemies, letting down our walls and letting go of blame and guilt. There is peace in embracing grace, the influence of
the spirit of God operating in all of us. For grace can regenerate and strengthen us, quiet our minds and make whole once again our broken hearts.
My Purpose:
To enter this planet, I have dropped through many dimensional portals and walked in through a doorway to the Earth plane. Though I am aware of my origins, I am like all of us here. I am human. I am subject to the pull of third-dimensional density
and the distortions of mass consciousness. I have emotional ups and downs, ins and outs. I have likes and dislikes. I do silly things. I get mad, have fun, and every now and then I think that something is really important and that it matters.
I am still learning and growing. Yet always, I know who I am. And I know my own truth. I know that there is more to me than the day-to-day human drama. And so it is with you.
I honor the sovereignty of all living things. Therefore, I come here not to take a stand against anything or anyone. Rather, I come to take a stand FOR something.
I stand for the facilitation of future reality, and so do you.
